A lovely natural additive to create colour in your soap, you can obtain shades ranging from yellow to orange in your cold process soaps.  The more you add, the darker the shade.  Simply stir into the lye water before adding the oils.  You may also add annatto seed powder at trace. To avoid specks of undissolved color, it is best to suspend the powder in a little bit of water before adding it to the mix or take out a little bit of the soap mixture and dissolve the powder very well in that mixture.
