A staple of soap making, coconut oil adds lather and fluffiness to soap. This oil will remain hard until about 27 degreeqs when it will start to liquify.
Depending on where you live, it may at different times of the year be liquid or solid but it is a stable oil, so these changes in temperature will not effect it.
The oil can also be used in lotions as it is a lovely emollient.
Known as coconut oil 76 Degrees F.
